Trail Rides - Lessons - Prices
Kieran Prendergast provides lessons for beginner riders and those who have lost their confidence. Riders are taught the basic skills to assist them to obtain a good standard of riding. Each rider’s ability and confidence level is assessed and lessons planned accordingly.
All safety aspects are considered. Horse riding takes place in a controlled environment until Kieran feels the rider is ready to ride in a more open situation.
“The best way to learn to ride is to actually get out there and ride”, says Kieran.
The trail ride begins with a friendly chat to determine each rider’s needs and ability, then a horse is matched with the rider. After some initial skills practice in the yard, riders set out. On arrival back at Crescent Farm, riders can relax fireside in the Tack Room or under the shady trees and enjoy a drink and platter of delicious food from the region.

Prices for Trail Rides
During hot weather, Early Morning Rides and Twilight Rides are available.

| Riders set out across country to enjoy the beautiful scenery of the Hepburn
Lagoon and surrounding paddocks, stock and birdlife. |
| Wombat Ride 3-4 hours $100pp |
| Riders take to the nearby Wombat Forest to enjoy the sounds and smells
of the magnificent Australian bush. |
| Pub/Winery Ride 5 hours $150pp |
| A ride through the bush to arrive at the historic Swiss Mountain
Hotel for lunch (lunch & drinks included in the price). Enjoy the character
of this great old pub as you relax by the open fire and eat a delicious
country meal. Or ride to the Captain's Creek organic winery to enjoy fine wine and a meal overlooking the grape vines. Then ride home to continue unwinding in the Tack Room. |
| 2 Hour Twilight Ride & BBQ Tea $100pp |
| Start at 6pm and ride for 2 hours, then come home to enjoy a delicious BBQ tea and drinks. |
All rides end with a platter featuring gourmet foods from the region and a choice of drinks. A great way to finish a fantastic day!
